Small-group travel since 2015 — it started with one trip to Ha Giang.
It began with one trip to Ha Giang in 2015
In 2015 Tung took nine friends to Ha Giang in a borrowed 16-seat van. Nobody was taken to a single shop and every dinner was in someone’s home. The next trip had fourteen people, most of them friends of the first group.
Eleven years on, Van Du has offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, seven routes and around forty partner guides. The approach hasn’t changed: small groups, local guides, clear prices.
Each year 2% of revenue from Ha Giang and Sapa goes to scholarships for village schools in Dong Van and Ta Van.

Eleven years on the road

2015The first Ha Giang trip
Nine friends, one borrowed 16-seat van and every dinner in a local home.
2017A Hanoi office
Opened at 18 Trang Tien and added the Sapa and Ninh Binh – Halong routes.
2019Tailor-made trips
Started planning private itineraries for families, friends and companies; launched the 2% scholarship fund.
2020International licence
Granted licence No. 79-1234/2020/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT and began welcoming international guests.
2022A Ho Chi Minh City office
Opened at 45 Le Thanh Ton and added Phu Quoc, Da Lat and the Mekong Delta.
2024Central Vietnam
Launched Hue – Hoi An – Da Nang and welcomed our 30,000th traveller.
2026Today
