A trip for people who want to actually walk in Sapa. The Lao Chai – Ta Van trek is about 12km on dirt paths, moderate difficulty, with a support car at the halfway point.

September brings golden harvest terraces, March–May clear cool days, December can bring frost on Fansipan’s summit.

Itinerary 3 days / 2 nights

Day 1Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat village

Pick-up 6:30, arrive Sapa around noon. Afternoon walk down to Cat Cat to see Hmong indigo dyeing and weaving. Free evening in town.

Day 2Trek Lao Chai – Ta Van

Start 8:00 at Y Linh Ho, through terraces and bamboo forest to Lao Chai. Lunch in a Giay home in Ta Van. Car back to town at 15:30.

Day 3Fansipan – Hanoi

Muong Hoa funicular and cable car up Fansipan, then 600 steps to the summit. Lunch, depart 14:00, Hanoi around 19:30.

A 30% deposit secures your place. The balance is due 7 days before departure, by bank transfer or card at our offices. VAT invoices are available on request.

Under 2: free, sharing a parent’s bed. 2–11: 75% of the adult price with own seat and meals. 12 and over: adult price.

Date & name changes

Moving to another date of the same tour 15+ days ahead: free, once. Changing a traveller’s name: free up to 3 days before (except tours with flights).

Bad weather

If storms or port closures affect the trip, we substitute an equivalent itinerary or refund unused services, with no cancellation fee.
